After weeks of tough pre season and the frustration of having to sit by as other schools kicked off their season’s last week, the season finally begins for Ipswich School.

Strong local rivals Woodbridge are the opposition, and after Ipswich handed them a 56-0 thumping last season Woodbridge will be desperate to give a true account of themselves.

Ipswich though are in no mood to relinquish their superiority in this fixture and, with a young side this year, they are determined to prove themselves. These early season games are vital to the rest of the season, a poor start can deprive a side of it’s confidence and attacking instinct, while a strong start puts doubts in the minds of future opponents. 

Woodbridge will undoubtedly be a tougher outfit this time around; they were ravaged by injuries last season and suffered because of it. Ipswich are a smart side though and will be confident of securing victory in this early season encounter. With quality players in their side such as Saint’s Academy player, Simon Uzokwe, Ipswich ought to have every confidence in their abilty to go on and secure victory.
