Lambs North squad beat Hymers College, while South West squad is named to face South East

The Independent Schools Lambs got their season off to a bang as the North U18 side beat Hymers College on Sunday.

Durham School’s David Elliot was the star of the show with a hat trick as the Lambs beat Hymers 19-15 to spoil the Hymers centenary celebrations.

The Lambs had further news today as they announced their South West squad following the announcements of their South East, Midlands and Northern squads last week.

A 23 man squad has been selected with Millfield and Canford dominating with four players included each. It is no surprise given the performances of the sides this season and the quality in depth that Millfield in particular have.

King’s Taunton also bring a fair few players to the Lambs party with three representatives while Abingdon and Exeter School have two each as do KES.

The squad will travel to Portsmouth Grammar School on the 6th January to play the South East XV in what will effectively be a trial game for the South XV that will face the combined North side the following weekend.

As ever, it is a fantastic achievement and each player fully deserves the opportunity to challenge for an eventual National Lambs XV.
