The Kings School, Worcester won the Christ College Invitational Sevens this weekend in what was a high quality competition. They beat 2012 winners Llandovery College 15-12 in the final.
With the likes of Llandovery, Millfield, Ellesmere and Bryanston, it had been expected that this year’s edition of the tournament would be of the highest quality.
King’s Worcester were by far the outstanding side though, with their Worcester U18’s players demonstrating their quality, George De Cothi particularly impressed, picking up the Player of the Tournament award.
With almost all of the participants taking part in the Rosslyn Park National School Sevens in March, this was an ideal opportunity to blow away a few sevens cobwebs and to size up a few of the opposition.
