Touring excitement & NatWest Cup fixtures – Midweek Schools Preview

Once again there is another busy midweek fixture list in the schoolboy rugby world, with NatWest Cup fixtures, touring fixtures and a few regular fixtures scattered across the calendars up and down the country.

Today there are four big fixtures as Cheltenham welcome Pate’s Grammar School, Uppingham host the Leys, Bishop’s Stortford College travel to Haileybury and Hampton meet New Zealand touring side Tauranga Boy’s School at Staines RFC.

Wednesday sees the return of the rebranded Schools Cup – The NatWest Schools Cup. Details of the fixtures can been seen by clicking here, it ought to be a fascinating day of Cup action as the battle to join the 114 teams already through to the third round finishes, whilst some of those in the third round battle it out for a spot in the fourth round.

The RFU will be streaming Bhasvic v Sussex Downs College live from 2.30pm after they held a vote to see which fixture they would show on their website.

Also on Wednesday though are two bumper fixtures; Edinburgh Academy v Durham School and Millfield v Palmerston North Boy’s High School (New Zealand), a spectacular pair of fixtures.

Mount St Mary’s v Sedbergh is also scheduled for Wednesday, after their big win in Scotland at the weekend it is another chance for Sedbergh to show their strength this season.

Thursday also sees some interesting fixtures, Australian side William Cowper’s School take on Bristol Grammar School, adding to the international flavour of this midweek fixture list.

Seaford and Hurstpierpoint also meet while Daramalan are to play Ampleforth College too.

On Friday even Colfe’s play Brentwood before we move into another packed weekend schedule.
