It has not just been the St Joseph’s Festival today, there has been plenty of action elsewhere too.
The most striking result of all is Kirkham Grammar School’s 22-21 away win at Tonbridge. Everyone knew that Kirkham were a top side this year, but few would have predicted a victory away at Tonbridge, such is their hosts quality. Sides will really fear Kirkham now.
Wellington College continued their fine unbeaten season, beating Sherborne 45-17, while Whitgift signed off for half term with a 22-14 win over Chislehurst & Sidcup.
Bryanston got back on track with a 31-8 victory over KES Bath as Bristol Grammar School were also firing against Wellington School, Blundell’s meanwhile lost 19-14 to Canford.
Hymers carried on their exceptional season with a 46-0 win over Ashville, and Sir Thomas Rich’s were in equally impressive form, beating Old Swinford Hospital 53-3.
Another fine weekend of schools rugby by the looks of things!
