Saturday might have been the last match of the season for a number of schools, but there is still a hefty fixture this midweek.
The NatWest Cup is likely to be at the forefront this week, with five confirmed fixtures and many more that could creep onto the schedule.
On Tuesday Bromsgrove play Bloxham for a place in Midlands A round 7, where the winner will face the winner of The Leys vs the unbeaten Stamford School.
In North B Pocklington play Hymers College. Pocklington are in good for, but Hymers College are unbeaten in 11 games and will head into this one absolutely flying with energy after a frustrating weekend that saw their game v Woodhouse Grove cancelled.
On Wednesday the 2013 finalists Northampton School for Boys travel to King’s Worcester in Midlands B, while Trinity host Berkhamsted in London & South East B, with the winner likely to face the triple champions Dulwich College in round 7.
London & South East A sees one of the potential challengers for the competition, St Joseph’s College, travel to Dartford Grammar School. With the winner facing either St Benedict’s or Whitgift, round 7 of this section is going to be a monumental game of rugby.
There is also plenty of NatWest Vase action. Monday sees Leicester Grammar travel to Hills Road in Cambridge as Hurstpierpoint make the trip to London Oratory.
Tuesday sees Langley host The Priory, while on Wednesday there are several fixtures, including St George’s Weybridge v Esher College and Wrekin College v Bablake.
There is also plenty of non-cup action. St Ignatius from Australia are in town, they face Bedford, who beat Stowe at the weekend, on Tuesday and Cheltenham College on Friday.
Also on Tuesday is a classic schoolboy fixture between Marlborough College and Bryanston, as well as Bishop’s Stortford College v Mill Hill.
On Wednesday Kirkham look to extend their unbeaten season with an away game against Old Swinford Hospital, while RGS Newcastle face a tricky task against Gosforth Academy, who finished 4th in the North section of the AASE league.
Sir Thomas Rich’s make the trip to Beechen Cliff, Eltham College host St Olave’s, and Yarm play host to Queen Elizabeth’s 6th form College. Meanwhile Pate’s Grammar School look to extend their excellent recent run as they host Chosen Hill.
Thursday sees Bristol Grammar School travel to QEH, while on Friday Rugby host Grammar School at Leeds for what promises to be a brilliant fixture.
