The final weekend of the term was unfortunately heavily it by the cold weather, forcing a number of games to be cancelled due to frozen pitches.

A number of games did go ahead though, despite calls to action in both the U18 Premiership and the ISRFC Lambs, with the term ending on some spectacular results.

Only Grammar School at Leeds v Wilmslow High fell foul of the weather, with the other four games in our competition going ahead.

Kirkham Grammar School completed a magnificent unbeaten term with a superb 46-19 victory over Bradford Grammar School, with a Team of the Term announcement to come at the end of the month, they will surely be among the contenders.

Solihull ended the term on a great note, winning a tough battle against a good King’s Macclesfield side 10-7.

Dulwich College ended a busy period and a successful term with yet more success, beating an excellent St Benedict’s side 22-7 away from home, while Trinity School, Dulwich’s next opponents in the NatWest Cup, beat a weakened Warwick side by an impressive 27-0 scoreline.

Previewed Fixtures:

Only two of our five previewed fixtures went ahead, Northampton School for Boys impressively beat London Oratory 50-5, while Denstone College ended a very good term with an excellent 22-6 victory over St Ambrose College.

Elsewhere:

Cranbrook beat Colfe’s 34-5, while St Paul’s won their oldest fixture on the card 17-11 v Merchant Taylors’.

A St Joseph’s College XV lost 20-19 to RGS Colchester, while both Shiplake and Skinners’ hit 50 over Haliford and Sir Joseph Williamson’s respectively. Elsewhere Wallington CGS beat Wimbledon College, Bishop’s Stortford High School beat Watford Grammar School, and Hampton beat Zimbabwean side Flacon College 26-22.

Lambs

The ISRFC Lambs played their first fixtures of the term on Sunday. The North XV faced Hymers College, while the South West XV faced Caterham.

In the North the Lambs could not quite achieve victory, losing 19-5 to Hymers College, however in Caterham the South West won an exciting game 27-14 over the Caterham.

Both sides are next in action in the Northern and Southern XV trials at the start of January.
