Team of the Term Vote – Season Summary – Hymers College

Our season summary for the teams shortlisted on our Team of the Term Vote continues today with Hymers College.

At the weekend we announced our ten team shortlist for you to vote from to decide your Team of the Term, each day between now and the announcement on the 1st January, we are summarising the season for one of the shortlisted teams, so far Bromsgrove and Epsom College have been summarised.

Hymers College have won a staggering fourteen of their fifteen games this term, and if you factor in their tour of Belgium, Holland, and France, that becomes a brilliant eighteen wins from nineteen games, including a brilliant thirteen game winning run from mid October.

Led by their excellent captain, second row Harrison Dodds, Hymers have beaten the likes of Durham, Bradford Grammar School, and Pocklington.

Hymers are also well represented in the ISRFC Lambs North squad, but despite that they still managed to beat the representative side 19-5 in their final game of the term last week.

Hymers were the clear winners in our Fans Vote for our November team of the month, proving just how highly respected their team is, and how loyal their supporters are to the team.

Indeed the only blot on the copybook this term was a 22-0 loss to Barnard Castle, one of the most traditionally strong rugby schools in the country.

Twice Hymers have won 46-0, to John Leggott College and to Ashville College, while on tour they twice hit the eighty point mark, a brilliant achievement.

It has been a remarkable season for Hymers College.
