Kingswood continued their excellent sevens form by lifting Sunday’s Bryanston 7s trophy.

Kingswood topped a tricky group that also contained Sherborne, Blundell’s, King’s Bruton, and Truro. That Sherborne went on to win the Plate and Blundell’s the Bowl, that quality really was highlighted.

Kingswood moved into the Cup semi finals after the group stage, where they faced Group D table toppers, Christ College. Kingswood saw off that challenge 27-12, before heading into the final with the hosts Bryanston.

Bryanston had topped Group A and had good home support but Kingswood were in great form, as they had been all day, winning 32-7, a huge statement ahead of Rosslyn Park next week.

Sherborne picked up the Plate with a 24-7 win over KES Bath, while Blundell’s beat Millfield’s 2^nd VII 31-0 to lift the Bowl. Dauntsey’s were rampant in the Shield, beating King’s Bruton 53-12 in the final, they were clearly keen to prove a point having ended up in the shield after finishing level with Canford and Millfield 2nds in Group C but ending up fourth in the group on points difference.

It was all about Kingswood though, who are showing the quality that has been clear all year for anyone that has seen them in action.
