After a stunning weekend of schools rugby, the top 10 in the Daily Mail Trophy has really been shaken up.
2014 Champions, Wellington College, are back at the top of the pile after their victory over Epsom College helped them jump from second to first, aided by Sedbergh’s defeat to Kirkham Grammar School.
Sedbergh’s defeat saw them slip from first to third, with Bromsgrove profiting from it too, with their victory at Monmouth bumping them up from fourth to second in the standings.
Thanks to that 27-0 win, Kirkham Grammar School also rise, moving from sixth to fifth and within touching distance of the men they defeated ahead of them in fourth and third.
Bedford slip from third to fourth, their victory over Radley keep them high but not being rewarded withers many points as Bromsgrove’s victory over Monmouth, who were so good last year. They sit just .06 of a point behind Sedbergh in third though.
A win against Trent College sees Bradford Grammar jump from ninth to seventh in the table and Stockport Grammar, having still played just two eligible games, stay in eighth. Sherborne slip out of the top 10. Once their victory over Canford is confirmed though, they could well be back.
Woodhouse Grove, the 2013 Champions, are back in the Top 10 for the first time this season, climbing to ninth in the table after their win over Grammar School at Leeds.
Durham drop down from fifth to sixth as a result of Kirkham’s sensational win, while in tenth place Cranleigh are replaced by Whitgift, who recorded a 16-6 victory over Dulwich College on Saturday.
