For many this was the penultimate weekend of their schools rugby season, and it was a weekend full of some exceptional performances.
There were some huge games between a number of top sides too, with plenty of teams looking to secure positions in the Daily Mail Trophy table.
5 Key Fixtures
Our five key fixtures this weekend began with Bedford’s trip to a could Abingdon side, and with the question of whether Bedford could keep their elvel up after the high of winning the Champions Trophy on Wednesday. Well, they answered that question emphatically, winning by a stunning 49-13 margin.
St Joseph’s Festival Champions, Hampton, enjoyed a very solid 14-0 win over John Fisher, and Kirkham Grammar School kept themselves in the Daily Mail Trophy hunt with a good 12-0 win against a very competitive Woodhouse Grove side.
Tonbridge kept up their brilliant run of recent form as they put in a good display to beat Dulwich College, with their forward pack in outstanding form.
Millfield showed that they are back to their best as they beat Whitgift 29-16, a promising result ahead of a huge game against Sedbergh on Wednesday.
