AASE: Play offs split between Maidenhead & Filton

The final action in this season’s AASE league takes place on Wednesday as the Play Offs take place.

 

It is the first time that the teams face their counterparts from the opposite division all season, as they battle for the final placings.

 

This year, the games are split between Filton College’s 4G surface and the 3G surface at Maidenhead RFC. 3rd, 7th, and 13th place will be competed for at Maidenhead, with 5th, 9th, and 11th, competed for at Filton.

 

The final, of course, has already happened, it took place at Allianz Park last week, where Hartpury College beat Bicton College 39-12 to secure their 7th title in a row. You can see our report here: AASE Final.

 

Third place is between Myerscough College from the Northern Division, and St Paul’s Catholic College from the South, they meet at 13.00 at Maidenhead.

 

Fifth will not be decided until much later, with Wyggeston & Queen Elizabeth I College, in their first ever season, meeting Filton in Filton at 16.00.

 

Seventh follows third at Maidenhead, with Worcester 6th form College v Henley College at 15.00.

 

Ninth is an earlier kick off, 14.00 at Filton, between Moulton college and Truro College, and is preceded at midday by the 11th place game between Oaklands College and Ivybridge Community College.

 

Thirteenth kicks off at 17.00 at Maidenhead, and will see Beechen Cliff search for their first win of the campaign, they face Gosforth Academy.
