School 7s: Sir Thomas Rich’s take Wycliffe 7s title

Sir Thomas Rich’s picked up the Wycliffe 7s title today, running through the day unbeaten.

 

They beat a strong Dean Close side 31-7 in the final to gap a perfect day.

 

The structure of the tournament saw ten schools come together, split into two groups of five. The winners of each group then met in the final, Sir Thomas Rich’s and Dean Close.

 

To get there, Sir Thomas Rich’s had beaten KES Bath, Marling, Prior Park College, and hosts Wycliffe College, while Dean Close had beaten Bristol Grammar School, Queen Elizabeth’s Hospital, Kingswood, and Katharine Lady Berkeley’s.

 

The Plate final was between the two second placed sides, KES Bath and Bristol Grammar School. KES Bath took the silverware, winning by an impressive 33-0 scorelines.

 

The hosts, Wycliffe College, finished third in Group A.
