U20 RBS 6 Nations: Scotland U20 make changes for crucial clash with France

Scotland have named their U20 side for the U20 RBS 6 Nations clash with France on Friday evening.

Zander Fagerson, who has been on the bench for the full national side during the RBS 6 Nations has returned to the U20 set up and starts at tighthead prop.

Former Millfield fly half, Adam Hastings, returns to the U20s after starting for Bath twice in recent weeks. Hastings’ return means a move from fly half to outside centre for Northampton Saints’ Rory Hutchinson, with George Taylor dropping down to the bench.

Jake Kerr returns at hooker, with Callum Hunter-Hill coming into the second row and Andrew Davidson moves to the blindside flank.

Speaking ahead of the game, Head Coach John Dalziel said:

“This weekend’s game is huge for us, but knowing we’re back on our home patch is a big boost, and adds to the excitement of the occasion. We’ve made a few changes, but there is still an air of consistency at the core of the team, which we feel is important.”

“We’ve said all along that we need to keep building, and we stick by that, as we want to continue improving on our previous performances. The French, as always, will be physical up front complemented by flair in the backs, but we’re looking forward to welcoming them and the challenge they’ll bring to Broadwood, in what should make for a great encounter.”
