Scotland U19 name side to face Japan Schools

Scotland under-19 head coach Don Caskie has named his side to play the Japan National Schools Team at Inverleith in Edinburgh at 13.00 tomorrow.

The sides will meet again next weekend at Meggetland. The 25-man Scotland squad includes seven Exiles and is captained by Charlie Shiel, son of former full Scotland international, Graham.

Speaking ahead of the game, Caskie said:

“These are important fixtures for this group of players to help them gain experience of playing at this level. It gives them a great opportunity to push for a place in the Scotland Under-20 World Cup squad later this year and for next season’s under-20s Six Nations”

“We’re expecting two tough games against some of the best young players from Japan.”
