The Independent School Lambs RFC have named their side for their first game of their South American tour, against Uruguay U18.
Today’s 12.00 kick off is the first of four games on tour, that also includes a fixture against Argentina.
Blundell’s School are well represented in this first fixture of the tour, four of their representatives will take to the field.
Ben Oliphant-Thompson starts at number 8, with Charlie Wilder at openside, meanwhile twins Arthur and Euan Friend start at outside centre and right wing respectively.
The trusty Felsted half-back combination of James Lennon and George Hitchcock start once again, with Truro flyer Dan Hubble on the wing. Pangbourne College’s Will Vaughan partners friend in midfield, with Woodhouse Grove’s Mason Knowles at full back.
The side is skippered by St Peter’s York’s Sam Hudson, who starts in the back row alongside Wilder and Oliphant-Thompson.
In the second row Mount Kelly’s Alex Hampton-Smith partners Wellingborough’s Eddie Goss, with Giggleswick’s Nick Atkinson, Wisbech Grammar’s Oliver Short, and Cheltenham College’s Daniel Ali making up the front row.
Following this game, the Lambs are next in action on Tuesday against a Buenos Aires select XV, before the big game against Argentina U18 on Thursday. The tour is rounded off on Saturday 2nd April with a fixture against San Isidro Club.
