Daily Mail Trophy: Top 10 – Wellington College move top

The Daily Mail Trophy table saw a shake up this weekend after some interesting results over Saturday and midweek.

The teams in the table’s Top 10 remain the same but the order that they are in has seen a real shake up.

Wellington College have jumped above Harrow to top the table after their midweek win over Cranleigh, though Harrow lack of a game means that if they make up the fixture they could jump back up again from second.

Sedbergh remain in third after their excellent win against Warwick. This is a crucial period for them and there is a fixture coming soon that will almost certainly prove vital when it comes to final league positions. They take on the leaders, Wellington College, and the winners will have a very strong chance of winning the league.

Clifton College remain in fourth despite having not played this weekend, while St Peter’s York have jumped from sixth to fifth after their brilliant win over Barnard Castle, leaving them very close to Clifton’s fourth place.

Woodhouse Grove’s win over Durham on Saturday sees them jump from eighth to sixth, while Brighton College are up from ninth to seventh after beating Eastbourne College 36-0.

Kirkham Grammar did not play this weekend, which sees their points total remain the same but their league position slides from fifth to eighth as a result of those above them playing and winning.

It is a similar story for Rugby School, who slip from seventh to ninth, while Canford, who also did not play, remain in tenth place.
