The ISRFC Lambs have announced their team to face Saracens at Allianz Park on Monday night.
Just two players that started in the 21-17 defeat to Northampton Saints in midweek will start Monday’s 8pm kick off, Uppingham’s Milo Linney, who moves from outside centre to fullback, and inspirational captain Matt Harris. The Berkhamstead man will again be at number 8.
Harris will be joined by a schoolmate in the form of George Carter in the second row, Carter will be partnered by Felsted’s Jack Rye. Joining Harris in the back row are Millfield’s Tom Wood at openside, and Wycliffe College’s George Hartson at 6. Hartson will be making his full debut having only appeared off the bench in the Lambs’ opening game of the season, v Irish Exiles.
The front row sees Trinity’s Thomas Petty return at loosehead, and Denstone College’s Tommie Collingwood at hooker, Taunton School’s Will Bird starts at tighthead.
Over in the backline, Milo Linney is joined by Cheltenham College’s Jamie Thorley in the back three. Thorley starts on the left wing having been on the bench against Saints, while Sherborne’s Rafe Yewdall returns to the side.
Tommie Collingwood’s Denstone College teammate, Joshua Hart, returns at outside centre after being on the bench on Tuesday, the only game he has not started for the Lambs. He is joined in midfield by Portsmouth Grammar School’s Eddie Jenkinson.
The half backs are Royal Hospital School’s Tobias Allday and King’s College Taunton’s Tom Pittman, for Allday it is a first game since the Lambs’ second fixture, versus Crawshay’s Welsh.
On the bench Felsted’s Hugo Brown and Pittman’s schoolmate Charlie Agbo both return to the squad, with Bishop’s Stortford College’s Didi Vidal-Adegun moving from the starting side to the bench.
Harrow’s William Heywood returns to the squad and is joined on the bench by Hymers College’s Guy Whittaker and Millfield’s Ben Mallett, both of whom started against Saints.
The Perse have two players on the bench, Will Tyrell and Louis McManus, both of whom return to the squad after missing Tuesday’s game, Trent College’s George Finney also returns, while Stamford’s James Peachey and St Edward’s Oxford’s Deokye Coker both take their seats on the bench after starts in midweek.
Speaking ahead of the game the Lambs National Director, Alex Laybourne, said:
“We are really looking forward to another great game against Saracens. The performance against Saints was a good one and the boys will take the lessons and experiences from all five of their games so far into this final game before tour. We are hopeful of an excellent all round performance.”
