This Sunday Merchiston Castle will host the Merchiston School 7s.
Bringing together some of the top schools in Scotland, the tournament will consist of eight schools, split among two pools of four teams.
The winners and runners up of each pool will progress to the Cup semi finals, while those finishing third will compete in the 5th place play off, with those finishing bottom playing the 7th place play off.
Merchiston Castle won the competition last year, beating English side Durham School in the final. Durham do not return this year, but Merchiston are in Group A, where their competition will be Dundee High School, Edinburgh Academy, and Robert Gordon’s College.
Group B includes the 2015 winners, George Watson’s College. They are joined by Dollar Academy, Stewart’s Melville, and Strathallan.
