U18 Schools Plate: Second ever Plate quarter final draw revealed

The draw for the 2017 U18 Schools Plate quarter finals have been made.

 

This is only the second year of the Plate, Reigate Grammar School won it last year, and there will be a new winner this year.

 

Only one last 16 fixture is yet to play, Colfe’s v New Hall, and that takes place this after noon (Friday) in London & South East A.

 

First out of the hat were KES Birmingham, who sealed the Midlands B place on Wednesday with a 22-0 win away at Wrekin College. They will host an exciting St Ambrose College side, who beat RGS Lancaster 36-14 in North A.

 

Trinity are the London & South East B representatives after they won a thrilling regional final 38-31 against Peter Symonds’. They host the winner of Colfe’s v New Hall in the second quarter final.

 

Next up were Uppingham, who progressed through to the quarter finals after a thrilling 27-23 win away at Gresham’s in the Midlands A regional final. They host Woodhouse Grove, who sailed through North B without a game thanks to byes, only playing once, a 50-0 win over Dame Allan’s.

 

The final quarter final sees former Cup champions St Peter’s Gloucester, who beat KES Southampton 35-14 to seal the South West A spot, host Richard Huish, who progressed past Downside to secure the South West B quarter final spot.
