U18 Schools Vase: Quarter Final draw revealed, who will reach Twickenham?

The draw for the 2017 U18 Schools Vase competition quarter finals has taken place.

 

There are two quarter finalists still to be decided, both from the two Midlands sections. Adams Grammar and King’s Worcester meet in the Midlands A regional final on Wednesday, with the Midlands B regional final between Langley and the reigning champions Trent College also next week.

 

It was the South West A champions, Dauntsey’s, that were drawn first. They beat Taunton School 27-7 away from home in the regional final and will host the winners of the Midlands A game between Adams Grammar School and King’s Worcester next week in the quarter finals.

 

The other unplayed game was next up, in form Langley or the reigning champions Trent College from Midlands B will host the Hayes, who have stunned a few big teams already. They beat Sutton Valence 23-0 on Wednesday to win the London & South East A regional final.

 

The North B champions, Ripon Grammar School, were up next. They came through a tough last 16 tie against Worksop College, and will host Sir William Borlase’s from South West B, who beat The Crypt 35-7 to reach the quarter finals.

 

The last quarter final sees Wirral Grammar School, the North A representatives after their 22-19 win at home to Giggleswick in the regional final, host Reed’s. Reed’s came through a hugely entertaining and difficult last 16 tie in London & South East B on Wednesday, beating St George’s Harpenden 34-31 away from home.
