Schools Rugby Midweek Update: Stonyhurst into Cup final

BECOME A PATRON

It has been a quiet week of U18 School Rugby, as we build towards a busy weekend of fifteen-a-side school rugby, school 7s, and U18 Academy League action.

Nevertheless, there has been some quality rugby played. Not least at Preston Grasshoppers RFC, where Stonyhurst College booked their place in the Lancashire Cup final with a tight 17-12 win over RGS Lancaster.

St Joseph’s College enjoyed a fine win in a thriller against Oaklands College, winning 26-24 against the AASE side.

There was better news for another AASE side, Worcester 6th College, who beat Queen Ethelburga’s 4012.

In London Trinity won a really tight and engrossing encounter against Ravens Wood, 22-17, while along the road Hayes once again impressed, beating Langley Park 14-11.

In the North West Liverpool College enjoyed a strong win over Runshaw College, 31-5, while Manchester Grammar continue to impress, 13-0.

Meanwhile in the Midlands Bishop Vesey’s were 38-12 winners over KES Aston, with KES Stratford continuing their good form with a 19-10 win over Shrewsbury. KES Birmingham meanwhile beat the Warwick 2nd XV 34-12.
