After a brilliant season of schools rugby across both the fifteen-a-side and seven-a-side formats of the game, our attention now turns to selecting our Team of the Season, supported this year by England Rugby Travel.
This year there will be two awards, the England Rugby Travel School Team of the Season, and the England Rugby Travel Emerging Team of the Season.
All schools are eligible for England Rugby Travel School Team of the Season, while England Rugby Travel Emerging Team of the Season is loosely defined as being for smaller schools that would naturally enter competitions at ‘Vase’ level.
Before selecting the winners we will draw up a shortlist for each award, to be announced on Tuesday 8th May. In order to get on the shortlist, you need to submit your 1st XV for entry!

Schools should be entered for whichever award you feel best represents their status, however ultimately before selecting the shortlists we will place entrants into the category that we feel is most appropriate.
If you have any video highlights of your team or great photos from the season, then do attach them to your entry!
It has been another brilliant season of school rugby, with some great games and compelling contests. Each competition has had its own storylines that have provided plenty of excitement and debate throughout the year, who could forget the progress some lesser known names made in the Schools Cup, or yet another superb performance in the final. As ever the St Joseph’s Festival was a joy to cover, and while the 7s season was badly affected by the weather, we were still treated to some stunning rugby, not least at the Rosslyn Park HSBC National School 7s.
So if you have had a season to be remembered, get those entries in and we will name our shortlist on Tuesday 8th May before announcing the winners a few days later!
