The second round of the U18 Schools Bowl takes place this week after a quiet-ish first round a fortnight ago.
All eight sections are in action and the draw is full, with almost no byes to speak of, a real bonus at this stage of the competition.
North A
North A has a bit of first round catch up to do with KES Morpeth and Bede Acaedmy meeting. The winner faces QES Darlington in Round 2. Elsewhere it is all round two action on Wednesday, with Ampleforth College hosting Wolfreton, Harrogate Grammar hosting Prince Henry’s, and Thomas Rotherham travelling to Ilkley Grammar.

Midlands A has Hitchingbrooke v St Ivo to be completed from the first round, the winner travels to Priory Academy for the second round. On Wednesday Sandringham welcome St Clement Danes and the winner will face either Watford Grammar or Enfield Grammar in Round 3, they also meet on Wednesday. Also on Wednesday is Salesian v Glyn, however the winner there will have to wait a week to find out their opponent, Saint Cecilia’s and St Dunstan’s do not meet until the 17th.

There is some catch-up to be done in London & South East B as Ashford travel to Sir Roger Manswood’s, the winner faces Chatham & Clarendon in Round 2.
