After an exciting weekend of schools rugby there is yet more action in midweek as the fifteens season keeps on going.
The main even will be the key Schools Cup quarter final on Wednesday, the final quarter final of the lot, Seaford College v Marlborough College.
Seaford have been waiting on this one for a while having secured their quarter final spot prior to Christmas. They had to wait until last week to discover their opponent though when Dean Close and Marlborough met in the South West B regional final.
Marlborough took that game 19-10 away from home and will be hoping that that extra competitive match practice will pay dividends on Wednesday afternoon. Both sides also now know their semi final opponents for the 9th March should they win on Wednesday after Whitgift beat Ivybridge Community College 40-12 in their quarter final last week.
The action really all begins on Tuesday though when Derby Grammar School take on Repton, two sides whose main rugby takes place this term.
Wednesday really sees the bulk of the action, including that massive Cup quarter final. Millfield, fresh from last week’s win over Sir Thomas Rich’s and a successful triangular on Saturday, host Coleg y Cymoedd in an exciting Anglo-Welsh clash.
There is another cross border clash in Gloucester as St Peter’s host Whitchurch, while in Wales Christ College take on Bridgend College.
Schools Vase semi finalists, Hayes, host Maidstone Grammar, while Simon Langton welcome Langley Park and Harris Academy travel to Ravens Wood. Haberdashers’, meanwhile, host St Benedict’s 2nd XV.
A reminder that we welcome any photos, videos, and reports from your school’s games – the more the merrier! You can send them in to us via any of the methods below:
