A good week of rugby has seen some superbly competitive games over the last seven days.
The most recent was on Thursday evening when Woodhouse Grove rounded off their fifteen-a-side season with a 10-7 victory at Wharfdale RFC, whose U18 side where their hosts.
On Wednesday, meanwhile, Whitgift’s stunning form continued with a fantastic win against the previously unstoppable Hayes, 50-7, backing up Saturday’s 24-12 victory over St Joseph’s
Tiffin were almost as impressive, 44-7 victors over Harrodian making it back to back wins after a 17-10 win over St George’s on Saturday, while Warwick’s 2nd XV won 34-7 away at KES Stratford. Staying in the Midlands, Bablake won 37-19 at home to KES Camp Hill.
The South East saw Brentwood narrowly beat Coopers’ Coborn 12-10, while St Benedict’s 2nd XV won a tight one against Glyn, 15-12.
Sir Thomas Rich’s have been in flying form, beginning on Saturday with a 20-7 win over Old Swinford Hospital and that continued into half term with a 19-5 victory over Whitchurch High School, Old Swinford Hospital meanwhile beat Gower College 13-8, while Liverpool College won impressive 25-7 at Oswestry, a second defeat of the week for Oswestry, who had lost 17-5 to Shrewsbury on Saurday.
Other results on Saturday saw King’s Macclesfield beat Adams Grammar 52-0, Lancaster RGS win 30-15 at St Ambrose College, and Loughborough Grammar claim a 19-10 victory over King Henry VIII, Coventry.
Friday, meanwhile, saw Hampton beat St Benedict’s 25-3 under the lights at Grasshoppers RFC, a fantastic finish to the season for them.
