SA Schools Remain Unbeaten

The SA Schools team remained unbeaten in the recent international series where they recorded victories over Wales, Argentina and England.

The final match against the England Under 18 rugby team was won 33-27 by the SA Schools team.

A bright start saw the team race into a 10 -0 lead with tries by Andre-Hugo Venter and giant prop Jan-Hendrik Wessels. It truly looked like the SA Schools team were going to run riot.

Ill discipline coupled with losing their star flyhalf Kian Meadon saw the English race into a lead with the SA schools team looking dead and buried.

A fight back was launched built on the foundations of a dominant forward display with captain Jacques Goosen coming on as a reserve and leading his team to victory.

There are many positives to take from the game and the team showed guts, determination and will to best their opponents. The future of South African rugby it appears is in safe hands.
