The U18 Schools Vase is in full flow now, with the third round beginning this week across the country.
There are still some catch up games to be played from the second round, but there is plenty of third round action too. There is also Schools Cup, Schools Plate, and Schools Vase action on this week and you can see our previews for the action in those competitions via the links below.

There are a couple of second round games to catch up on from the second round in North A in the form of Newcastle School for Boys v Emmanuel College and Runshaw College v Sandbach. Newcastle School for Boys host Emmanuel College a week on Wednesday, and the winners will then be hosting KES Morpeth. By the time that game takes place, the two sides will know their fourth round opponent as Austin Friars welcome Gateshead College this Wednesday. The winner of Runshaw v Sandbach meanwhile will travel to Crossley Heath next for their third round game, where the winner will travel to either Ripon Grammar or Ilkley Grammar, who should meet this week.

However one third round game has taken place, Newcastle Under Lyme defeating St Joseph’s College 29-14. They have a bit of a wait to find out who they will be hosting though. Shrewsbury beat Bishop Heber in Round 2 but still await a winner from Liverpool College v St Anselm’s College to discover their third round opponent. Similarly Bolton had a second round bye but are still waiting on the King William’s v Altrincham Grammar result in order to find out their opponent.

On Tuesday in Midlands B Langley host Ipswich, the two also played on Saturday with Langley taking the win, so they will feel confident. Whoever wins has a bit of a wait to see who the will travel to in round four though, Hills Road and Hitchingbrooke’s second round game is yet to come through and the winner of that must then host Gresham’s in round 3. Aylesbury Grammar are in a similar position to Gresham’s, awaiting the outcome of Sir John Lawes v Beaumont to find out their third round opponent.
