There is some top rugby to get our teeth stuck into this midweek with some hugely competitive looking games and even a spot of 7s.
With a dry, ish, week forecast, we should see a full set of games played too after the last week or so saw a spate of cancellations.
Tuesday
The action starts on Tuesday with Repton’s trip to Derby Grammar, but it is on Wednesday when the bulk of the week’s fixtures will be taking place.
Wednesday
There are some massive games on Wednesday but one of the biggest will surely be the Anglo-Welsh clash as Sir Thomas Rich’s host Llandovery College, Sir Thomas Rich’s have had a fine season, while Llandovery are one of the most famous names in Welsh schools rugby so it should be an exciting occasion.
There is another Anglo-Welsh clash too as Christ College Brecon host Shrewsbury, meanwhile Shrewsbury’s 2nd XV are in action at Wolverhampton Grammar.
Elsewhere, Schools Cup semi finalists and current holder Whitgift will be continuing their preparations as they host Ravens Wood, meanwhile Sutton Valence, who are in the Vase semi finals, are hosting Bowl semi finalists Maidstone Grammar.
St Benedict’s head to Glyn full of confidence after a weekend victory over Northampton School for Boys, while Gravesend Grammar host King’s Rochester, and Coopers’ Coborn welcome Barking & Dagenham College.
Newcastle School for Boys have been in great form over this season and they take to the field at home to Austin Friars on Wednesday in search of another victory. In even more spectacular form have been Isleworth & Syon, they will be hoping to continue their superb season when they host Grey Court.
St Joseph’s College travel to Loughborough Grammar for what should be a good game, meanwhile Newcastle-Under-Lyme host Bishop Heber and AKS Lytham welcome Ashton 6th form College.
Dartford Grammar will be hosting Richard Hale, with Dame Alice Owens heading to Birchwood and St James’ to Harrodian, meanwhile Emmanuel College host Durham County and Wetherby welcome Box Hill. There should be a cracking game in the West Midlands too, with Bishop Vesey’s Grammar hosting KES Camp Hill.
Thursday
Thursday sees Bryanston host a triangular 7s season warm up, with Canford and Marlborough College gearing up for a busy 7s season that is going to really begin to kick off this weekend with the Seaford 7s and the Millfield 7s.
