2022 Rosslyn Park HSBC National School 7s: Girls AASE, U18 Girls, and U15 Girls Draws

This year, for the first time, the Rosslyn Park HSBC National School 7s will feature three Girls competitions, the Girls AASE, the U18 Girls, and the U15 Girls.

The U15 Girls competition was supposed to begin in 2020 but two years worth of tournament cancellations mean that this will be its first iteration.

Over in the Girls AASE there are nine teams competing, split into three Groups of three. The winners of those Groups will then go into a 3 team Cup pool, second place to a 3 team Plate Pool, and 3rd to a three team Bowl Pool. Harptury College are the reigning champions and they are in Group A alongside SGS Filton College and Sweden, while in Group B it’s Loughborough College, Exeter College, and visitors Federacion de Rugby de la Comunidad. Over in Group C Worthing College, Bridgwater & Taunton College, and Bishop Burton College go head to head.

The competition takes place on Friday 25th, the final day of the Rosslyn Park HSBC National School 7s.

Girls AASE Draw

In the main Girls U18 competition, Weston College are the reigning champions and they are placed in Group A alongside Henley College and Ysgol Y Preseli. In total there are sixteen groups of three, with the winners progressing to the Cup Last 16, second to the Plate, and third to the Bowl. Like the AASE competition, the Girls competition takes place on Friday, alongside the U18 Boys Cup competition.

U18 Girls Draw

The inaugural Girls U15 competition sees twelve teams enter for this debut year, split across four groups of four, with the top two from each group qualifying for the Cup quarter finals and the bottom two from each heading into the plate quarter finals.

Ivybridge Community College, St Richards Reynolds, Bohunt Wokingham, and Royal Wootton Bassett are in Group A, with Maynard, Holyrood Academy, Ysgol Gyfun Glantaf, and Caterham in Group B. Over in Group C it’s Clifton College, Lutterworth High, King’s of Wessex, and St John’s Leatherhead, while in Group D Bishop of Llandaff, Wisbech Grammar, Harris City Academy, and Reigate Grammar will all compete.

The U15 Girls competition will take place on Tuesday 22nd March, running alongside the start of the U18 Boys Vase competition.
