Sunday sees Reed’s School host their annual 7s tournament as preparations for the Rosslyn Park National School 7s.
Moved to a later date in the calendar the tournament is a little thinner on teams than usual, with so many tournaments happening this weekend, but the quality of the competition remains as high as ever.
Six teams will enter, divided into two groups of three, with the top two from each group qualifying for the Cup semi finals and the bottom finishers going straight to the Plate Final.
Epsom College are the reigning champions and will likely go in as favourites again this year after some fantastic performances already this term. They are in Group A alongside the hosts, Reed’s, who will fancy their chances. Competing the group are Emanuel.
Over in Group B look out for Gordon’s, who have showed some real quality on the 7s field so far this season. They are up against NextGenXV Spring League rivals Hayes, who could be a dark hore, and the ever-strong St John’s Leatherhead, a fixture at the Reed’s 7s.
