With the days counting down until the Rosslyn Park National School 7s and the Schools Cup finals briefly dominating the agenda, Leicester Grammar School will host a small 7s tournament on Tuesday as sides get some final preparation in.

There will be nine teams competing in total, split into two groups, with five in Group 1 and four in Group 2. The top side from each group will meet in the Trophy final, second place meeting in the Cup final.

Group 1 sees the hosts, Leicester Grammar School, up against giants Oakham. Alongside those two are Culford, who travel up from Suffolk, Robert Smyth Academy, and a strong Wellingborough side.

Over in Group 2 are one of the season’s other strongest sides, Stamford, who are joined by the outstanding Samuel Whitbread Academy, King’s Grantham, and a strong Loughborough Grammar School outfit.

It should be a short, sharp, and intense afternoon of rugby as the season gears up for a huge climax.
