Rugby 200: Rugby School Warwickshire U14 7s Festival | Live Stream

The bicentenary celebrations continue at Rugby School this Saturday as they welcome fourteen local club sides to The Close for an U14 7s Festival.

The Warwickshire U14 7s comes hot on the heels of last weekend’s incredible Rugby School u18 International Schools 7s, which saw South African school Michaelhouse beat Dublin based Blackrock College in a final for the ages.

NextGenXV brought that whole event to you live on YouTube, as will happen at every single remaining event to celebrate 200 years of Rugby Football, including every Rugby School 1st XV game in 2023, and the NextGenXV team will be on The Close again on Saturday to bring live coverage of the Warwickshire U14 7s Festival, with the action beginning at 10am.

All of the action on Old Bigside, Pitch 1, will be available on the NextGenXV YouTube channel and you can also click on the embedded link below to watch.

There are eight girls teams in attendance and six boys teams, playing in different competitions. The Girls teams are split into two pools of four, with Old Northam, Fosse Falcons, Stoke Park, and Reading in one pool, while Barker Butts, Edwardians, Lutterworth, and Mansfield in the other.

The top two teams from each pool will meet in the Cup semi finals, top from Pool A playing second in Pool B, and second in Pool A playing first in Pool B. The bottom two sides from each will meanwhile meet in the Plate semi finals.

With six teams in the Boys competition, it’s two pools of three teams each. Queen Mary’s, North Warks, and Stoke Park are in one pool, with Bishop Vesey’s, Higham Lane, and South Warks in the other.

Like the girls competition, the top two in each boys pool will meet in the Cup semi finals, top in A playing second in B and vice versa. Meanwhile the third placed sides in each pool will face each other in a 5th/6thplace play off.
