Live Stream: Rams Rugby v Chinnor RFC | National League One

NextGenXV will again return to Old Bath Road to live steam Rams vs Chinnor in National League One this Friday night, kicking off at 7.45pm.

It will be the third season in a row that the derby game will be broadcast live from Old Bath Road, with Rams having won both of those fixtures.

This one could be a very close game, both sides got their seasons off to a strong start last time out, with Seb Reynolds’ Rams side showing all the form of last season in a 50-36 victory over Birmingham Moseley, while Nick Easter’s Chinnor won 22-10 over Darlington Modwen Park, and actually beat last year’s National League One champions, Cambridge, in pre-season.

Cambridge were so nearly pipped by Rams last year, who finished level on points with them but missed out on points difference. Back to back victories and the boost of a derby victory, would really set the tone for Rams avenging that narrow miss last year this season.

Chinnor are eyeing special things as well though, since former Harlequins and England number 8 Nick Easter came in as Director of Rugby midway through last year they have been sensational. From flirting with relegation they moved up to finish in 8th and have, as mentioned, got off to a good start this year.

Both sides have plenty of players to watch former Harlequins George Merrick and James Bourton at Chinnor alongside former Newcastle Falcon Morgan Passman, a try-scoring machine. Rams meanwhile have brought in former London Irish hooker/back row, Ben Atkins, and also fly half Fraser Honey, the Cornwall county captain, who got off a flyer in victory over Birmingham Moseley last time out.

It promises to be a special game on what should be a warm and atmospheric night at Old Bath Road, and you can catch it all on the NextGenXV YouTube Channel or by clicking on the embedded video below.
