After a thrilling seven rounds of action, last week’s ACE results confirmed the final standings for the Stage 1 Pools and the teams that will line up in each of the Stage 2 Pools.

Victories in Round 7 for Gosforth Academy, Brooksby Melton College, and City of Oxford College sealed their place in the Top 4 of the Northern Conference, while Stourport High School completed that Top 4 despite defeat.

Meanwhile in the Southern Conference Hartpury College had a bye but had already qualified, while Gordon’s and Truro College’s victories sealed their already confirmed spots in the Top 4, victory over Beechen Cliff over SGS Filton College saw them clinch the final spot.

Stage 2 Pools

Those eight sides progress to the Stage 2 Division 1 Pools, where Gosforth Academy and Brooksby Melton College, first and third in the North, are joined by Hartpury College and Beechen Cliff, second and fourth in the South, in Pool A. Pool B meanwhile is made up of first and third from the South, Gordon’s and Truro College, and second and fourth from the North, City of Oxford College and Stourport High.

Division 1

The sides that finished in the bottom three of those Stage 1 Pools also have mini-pools in Stage 2, but they remain split North/South, Bishop Burton College, Myerscough College, and Oaklands College making up the North Pool, Bishop Wand, Exeter College, and SGS Filton College making up the South Pool.

Stage 2 Fixtures

This week’s fixtures see the reigning champions Hartpury College host Brooksby Melton College in Division 1 Pool A, while also in Pool A Northern Conference table toppers Gosforth Academy begin their Stage 2 campaign on the road to Beechen Cliff.

In Division 1 Pool B Gordon’s first ever Division 1 campaign, after topping the Southern Conference, begins away at Stourport High. Truro College were the only side to take points off Gordon’s in Stage 1, they begin on the road as well, travelling to City of Oxford College.

Over in Division 2 there is just the one game on Wednesday, one side in each pool has a bye each week, the North Pool game between Oaklands College and Myerscough College will take place on the 29^th November. In the South Pool though there is action, Bishop Wand host Exeter College. The two met in a thriller at Exeter College last time out, with the hosts winning by the slimmest of margins, 21-20.
