Schools Rugby: NextGenXV Schools Rugby Table | More movement after another great weekend

NextGenXV Schools Rugby Table Week 3 (1200 x 676 px)

The latest update of the NextGenXV Schools Rugby Table sees yet more movement after another week of fairly unpredictable schools rugby action.

Harrow remain at the top of the standings with Kirkham Grammar School in second, with both remaining consistent, while a win for Ipswich over Stowe and a draw with Denstone for Clifton sees those two swap positions.

Brighton College remain unbeaten and in fifth, and closing up fast, while Eton College are up to sixth with Sedbergh slipping back to seventh. Millfield and Wellington College remain as they were but there is a new entrant into the Top 10 as Bromsgrove 24 point increase after defeating Stamford sees the unbeaten side leapfrog the side they beat and move into tenth spot.

Behind those sides, Hurstpierpoint College rise a couple of spots to 13th after a victory against Trinity, things are really tight in that zone with Stamford, Trinity, and Oakham all seeing their points totals decrease.

Behind that cluster, St Albans and Seaford College both rise up and are actually level on points in 15th and 16th, with Whitgift slipping back.

Sir Thomas Rich’s brilliant victory at Kingsholm over Cheltenham College sees them rise three places to 20th, and RGS High Wycombe’s bounceback this week seems them also climb three to 21st. Denstone College and Stowe both slip back a touch, while Kingswood rise one to 24th and St Ambrose’s fantastic form sees them return to the Top 25 as well.

There is still such room for movement across the table, particularly in the gap from 15th to 26th where the teams are actually close than the gap between 1st and 2nd, a gap that is also able to be closed in the remaining time.

Likewise in that Top 15, where just about anything can happen. It is all so tight. A reflection, perhaps, on what a close and unpredictable season it has been to date.
