The Season is Starting | Hartpury U18 Pre-Season Rugby Festival 2025 | Live Stream
The season begins with a bang down in Gloucester, where the 4th annual Hartpury Festival starts bright and early tomorrow morning! Every second of every game on Pitches 1 and 2, brought to you live by Nextgen LIVE for the perfect start to the school rugby season. Games kick off every half an hour from 9:00 am all the way through to 5:45 pm.
Teams have travelled far and wide and converged on the pitches at Hartpury College. As this festival is pre-season, there are no knock-outs as the afternoon rolls on, just 2 games of 30 minutes for each team. As Harpury themselves have stated: “The aim of the festival is to provide a platform for Schools and Colleges from around the country to prepare for their upcoming seasons ahead, whilst also providing an opportunity to test themselves against Schools/Colleges that would not normally be part of their regular fixture programme”. This is indeed the case, as sides that scrape each corner of the country will compete.
The day gets underway with a cracking fixture between Harpury and Cardiff and Vale College, one of the many top-tier Welsh sides that make a rare appearance across the border in this festival. There is also a strong Ace College contingent at play, with the second game at 9:35 featuring two of Saracens sides, Henley College and Oaklands College – The Wolves. There are top sides from the school’s game as well, as the third game on pitch one is a testament to. Cranleigh takes on Coleg Y Cymoedd at 10:10. Over on the secondary pitch, brought to you live by Sportway’s state of the art AI led automated broadcast camera, we see our first bit of action from the women’s game at the same time, as Hartpury take on the City of Oxford College in what promises to be an absolute cracker. And so the thrilling fixtures will continue to roll on across the two pitches until the final game concludes at 6:15.There are multiple sides that have also included multiple teams, like Hartpury with their red and white sides, or Sale College, who have entered two women’s sides into the competition.
