NextGenLive welcomes the latest guidance from HMC, GSA, ISBA, and Padsis surrounding live streaming in schools and of school events.
Live streaming in schools has long needed guidance and regulation and this is a timely step in that regard.
Safe and responsible streaming is vital to schools, pupils, parents, and streaming platforms and that begins primarily with safeguarding. It is something that we take extremely seriously and is the cornerstone of our ethos.
Live streaming is about enhancing pupil experiences first and foremost, it is an additional layer on top of a schools offering, particularly in a sporting context, of making positive memories for life. It also has the benefit of allowing further parental, alumni, and school community connection and engagement.
We are proud to have been the leaders in this field for some time and, though extremely disappointed not to be included in any discussion or consultation around this latest guidance, welcome this clear guidance and support of our current policies.
We look forward to working closely with HMC, GSA, ISBA, Padsis, other broadcast providers, and schools to provide the safest possible environment to enjoy school sport, and hopefully develop this guidance as schools become ever more used to live streaming.
