The Men’s U18 Six Nations Festival kicks off this Friday at the Stade Louis Darragon in Vichy, France.
As has happened in the last few years, the U18 Six Nations Festival will in fact be an eight-team festival, with Georgia and Spain once again invited to join the traditional Six Nations countries of England, France, Ireland, Italy, Scotland, and Wales in Vichy.
Every side will play three times over the course of the Festival, with Matchdays on Friday 3rd April, Tuesday 7thApril, and Saturday 11th April.
Last year both England and Wales went unbeaten through the competition, England beating Scotland, Spain, and a narrow one against France, while Wales beat Ireland, Georgia, and Italy.
This year Wales start off their campaign against Scotland, before games against France and Spain, while England begin against Ireland before facing Georgia and Italy.
Spain’s victory over Scotland was one of the key moments in last year’s competition. This year they open the competition against Italy at 10am on Friday 3rd before facing Ireland in Matchday 2 and that game against Wales in the final matchday.
Hosts France, meanwhile, start against Georgia at 5.30pm on Friday, before that game against Wales and finishing off against Ireland, who meet England and Spain in their opening two games.
Scotland will be hoping for more after three defeats last year, they start, as mentioned, against Wales before games against Italy and Georgia, Georgia face France and England in their first two.
The Squads have been announced and can be seen below – it looks as though there is going to be some serious quality right across the board in this year’s Men’s U18 Six Nations Festival!
