The NextGenXV brand has it’s origins in the founders of the NextGenRugga and XV rugby brands merging their brands into one in order to create the worlds first truly global grassroots rugby website.
It all started when Tom of NextGenRugga contacted Richard of Cheers Mate Productions, the UK’s leading grassroots streaming channel regarding use of player footage and seeing what synergies could be formed between the two.
Both parties expected a quick 5 minute call but instead spoke for well over an hour exchanging ideas and sharing their vision on the values and direction of grassroots rugby. Richard then knew that he had to get the UK’s authority of school rugby Angus involved in the conversation.
Within only a few minutes of talking all parties felt the right direction would be the focus on both global schools rugby markets with a view into expanding into new markets under one brand! Richard suggested a merging of the NextGenRugga and XV Rugby brands into one now to be know as NextGenXV.
With Tom’s knowledge of the South African school rugby market, Angus’ knowledge on the UK market and Richard’s expertise in streaming the group feels that everyone has their own area of expertise to bring into the partnership and to help give exposure to young talent from around the world.
Our aim is to give global access to grassroots rugby stars through streaming, news and views as well as opinions through our comprehensive social media network. Further we aim to help change the lives of the many talented youngsters out there that have the talent but may lack the exposure or opportunity.
In the long term we hope to expand into new countries and hope to give rugby at grassroots level a much needed push in the right direction, this is only possible through your support.
