Heineken Cup week 2 throws up some interesting fixtures

The Heineken Cup returns for the second week in a row in a week where the contenders for each pool should be looking at lot clearer by the end.

There are a number of interesting games this week, none more so perhaps than Saracens ‘home’ game against Racing Metro in Brussels. Mark McCall has already admitted that it is a risk, but Saracens are keen to continue their policy of moving their games around.

Harlequins trip to Galway to take on Connacht will be another interesting game after the English champions lost there last year. The evening kick off and likelihood of rain could make this an interesting encounter.

It is Sunday though where the real battles could take place, with Toulon and the Ospreys travelling to Cardiff and Leicester. Both home sides definitely need to come away with a win and a bonus point for either would be a welcome addition after they both underperformed last time out.

We should be set for another weekend of top class Heineken Cup action in this tournament that never fails to ignite.
