Scotland name 28-man U16 squad

Scotland have announced their U16 squad following their trial at Lochinch last weekend.

The 46-man group that met on Sunday has been trimmed to 28 ahead of another training camp this weekend, where it will be reduced again to 26 players.

The squad then gave Newcastle Falcons at Murrayfield on Sunday 22nd March in their final piece of preparation ahead of April’s Wellington Festival, where Scotland U16 will face England North, England South West, and Wales Celts.

Included in Roddy Deans’ squad are several players based in English Schools including Bedford’s Fraser Dingwall, Wellington School’s Matt Davidson, King’s Macclesfield’s Cameron Redpath, and Wellington College’s Rory McMichael in the back division, while Bristol Grammar School’s Andrew Christie is included in the pack.
