The Bryanston 7s takes place on Sunday, with several top schools for the South West and surrounding areas taking part.

Blundell’s are the reigning Champions having beaten the hosts Bryanston 19-14 in last year’s final, and are drawn in a tricky Group B for their troubles.

The always solid Sherborne will trouble Blundell’s in that Group but perhaps most challenging of all will be Kingswood, who are on fire this 7s season having already collected winners medals and a couple of runners up gongs too.

Bryanston, as hosts, are in Group A alongside the likes of Abingdon and Cheltenham College, in what will certainly prove to be a top quality and highly competitive group.

2014 Plate winners Bristol Grammar School, who beat Taunton 26-12, are in Group C and they will certainly be among the favourites to progress. Colston’s will hope to challenge but all round it looks like being a group that will see each game being highly competitive and could easily come down to points difference. Millfield send over their 2^nd VII, who showed well at Wednesday’s Llandovery 7s, as the 1^st VII switch their focus to Surrey on Wednesday.

Group D sees the likes of Portsmouth Grammar School and Welsh side Christ College looking to see some Cup knockout action in what is likely to be another competitive group.

The tournament structure sees the top team in each group reach the Cup semi finals, second place the Plate semi finals, third place the Bowl semi finals, and fourth place the Shield semi finals.
