The Samurai British Bulldogs have picked up silverware at the first attempt this season, winning the Plate at the East Grinstead Sunshine 7s.
They were hoping to defend their title in the main draw yesterday but having lost two and won one in the pool they found themselves in the Plate competiton.
The Bulldogs squad included six schoolboys, Bamidele Fadahunsi, Nathan Thomas, and Suvwe Obano from John Fisher, Charlie Venables from Denstone College, Ethan Waddleton from St Joseph’s College, and Austin Winton from Haileybury College, as well as several recent leavers, Epsom College’s Charlie Dockery, Harrow’s Harry Glover, Brighton College’s Ed Kittow, Dulwich College’s Ali Neden, and one time Millfield pupil, Sam Showering.
