ISRFC Lambs: Lambs make changes for Boys Club of Wales clash

The ISRFC Lambs have named the side to face Boys Club of Wales this Sunday at Porthcawl RFC.

The 14.00 kick off sees five of last week’s starting fifteen takes to the field again, though two of them do move positions.

Felsted’s George Hitchcock moves from inside centre to fly half and also takes over the captaincy this week with Nick Atkinson absent. Also keeping his place in the starting fifteen is Truro speedster Daniel Hubble on the left wing.

Daniel Ali of Cheltenham College is once again at tighthead, with Ashville College’s Harry Johnson getting a fourth game for the Lambs in the second row. Trinity’s Reece McCarthy moves from blindside to number 8.

Eight players are promoted from the bench to the starting fifteen, James Lennon completes an all Felsted half back line up as he starts at scrum half, while Pangbourne College’s Will Vaughan and Durham’s Jacob Weightman step up to form the centre partnership. Woodhouse Grove’s Mason Knowles steps into the right wing berth.

Up front another Felsted man, Mike Galsworthy is promoted from the bench to start at loosehead alongside Queen Ethelburga’s College’s Jack Starkey at hooker, Wellingborough’s Eddie Goss partners Johnson in the second row, while Churcher’s College’s Samuel Bloomer starts at blindside.

Coming into the starting team from outside of last weeks squad are Wisbech Grammar openside Oliver Short and Berkhamsted full back Will Hughes.

On the bench Harry Pryer of Uppingham and Oscar Hardman of Hymers College are in line to make their debuts, while James Costin-Pratt of Pangbourne College and Isaac Rayworth of Plymouth College wait in the wings after starts last weekend.

The Boys Club of Wales fixture is one of the Lambs’ long standing fixtures, and is likely to be another fine example of ‘fast and free, and exciting, rugby.
