ISRFC Lambs: Lambs name team to take on Buenos Aires XV

The ISRFC Lambs have named their team to take on a Buenos Aires Select XV, their second game of their South America Tour.

On Sunday the Lambs lost 55-12 to a Uruguay XV, the best side the Lambs have faced in their ten year history. Tomorrow’s 15.00 kick off will likely be another very high standard fixture, before the toughest of the lot, versus an Argentina XV, on Thursday.

Five players who started in Sunday’s game are selected to start again, though just two start in the same position as against Uruguay.

Blundell’s Euan Friend keeps his place on the right wing, his twin brother Arthur switches from outside centre to full back, with Woodhouse Grove’s Mason Knowles moving from full back to the left wing.

Man of the Match on Sunday, Felsted’s George Hitchcock starts once again, but moves from fly half to inside centre. He also takes over the captaincy from Sam Hudson for this game. Either side of Hitchcock there are changes, with Royal Hospital School’s Toby Buckland starting at fly half, and Plymouth College’s Isaac Rayworth coming into the side at outside centre. Pangbourne College’s James Costin-Pratt comes in to start at scrum half.

In the pack Eddie Goss of Wellingborough retains his place in the second row, where he is joined by Ashville College’s Harry Johnson. Elsewhere it is all change, the new front row sees Woodhouse Grove’s Ed Linkogel start at loosehead, with Felsted’s Mike Galsworthy at tighthead, and Jack Starkey of Queen Ethelburga’s at hooker.

The back row sees Bloxham’s George Cassell at 8, with Woodhouse Grove’s Louis Fraser at openside, and Churcher’s Sam Bloomer at blindside.

The game kicks off at 15.00 local time, as do the following two fixtures against an Argentina XV on Thursday, and San Isidro Club on Saturday.
