AASE League Stage 2 kicks off with a bang

The AASE League resumed yesterday for the second stage of the competition, following the initial group stage.

Each division of the competition, North and South, split into a top and bottom half ahead of half term for stage 2.

Hartpury College and Exeter College seized the initiative in the top division of the South, opening the second stage accounts with a 30-3 win over Henley College for Hartpury and a 34-11 victory for Exeter College over Beechen Cliff.

In the second division in the south Truro College got off to a fine start with a brilliant 45-10 victory over Ivybridge Community College, while SGS Filton College were almost as impressive as they saw off St Paul’s Catholic College 48-22.

Over in the North, meanwhile, there was no play in the top division, while in the second division Wyggeston & Queen Elizabeth I College got off to the perfect that with a 33-12 bonus point win over Moulton College.
