Saturday morning sees Reading Blue Coat take on Shiplake College in what is a great derby to kick off the Saturday action.

It’s a first regular season game of the season for both, Reading Blue Coat had their opening games cancelled in the wake of the death of The Queen, while this was always Shiplake College’s first regular season game.
Shiplake are however, at the time of writing, in action in the U18 Schools Vase against The Oratory, a game that ought to give a real indication of their form and momentum into Saturday.
Reading Blue Coat become a firm favourite on the NextGenXV channels last year owing to a number of live streams on their magnificent U18 Schools Vase journey. Shiplake College were due to be a feature side too, only for a major power cut to force their game against Pangbourne College to a different pitch at the last minute.
So it is with great anticipation that these two return to the live stream, and it should be a great game too. Though Reading Blue Coat have had the edge in this fixture of late, it has always been close, not least in the corresponding fixture last year in which they just emerged as 9-5 victors.
It should be a glorious game on Saturday morning on what looks like a crisp morning for some schools rugby!
