Trinity have extended their advantage at the top of the NextGenXV Schools Rugby Table following last week’s superb victory over Harrow in the Schools Cup quarter finals.
It was an extraordinary performance from Trinity, one built on an impeccable defence and some moments of clinical attacking play, you can relieve the extraordinary game below, arguably the game of the season.
Trinity’s victory is good news for Clifton College and Sedbergh too, who move up a place each to second and third respectively, with Harrow back in fourth. However with Millfield having today beaten Sedbergh in the final round of The Schools Championship, expect a few changes in next week’s final league table.
Elsewhere there are not too many changes since last week’s update, a lack of fixtures over the weekend due to the weather causing cancellations has made sure of that. Haileybury’s Plate victory over Bloxham sees them rise three places into the Top 20, while Cranleigh are up into the Top 25.
Bromsgrove are up six to 36 after the weekend’s narrow victory over Warwick, while RGS High Wycombe move up four places to shift into the Top 50.
The Top 100 sees some big movers too, and you can see that in detail here: NextGenXV Schools Rugby Table Top 100. St Ambrose College have risen 13 places, Wirral Grammar School and Leighton Park 10, Malvern College 11, and Samuel Whitbread Academy 15.
Elsewhere, Ewell Castle are the biggest risers, up 76, with Hayes up 48, Wallington County Grammar and Hill House by over 30, with Grammar School at Leeds and St Edward’s Cheltenham up by 29.
There are still a handful of fixtures to go before the table wraps up, and plenty of room for things to change as we head towards Christmas!
