This Easter Weekend the Bicentenary Celebrations at Rugby School continue with three big 7s Festivals to whet the appetite.
As throughout this celebration of 200 years of the game of Rugby Football, NextGenXV will again be at Rugby School to live stream all of the weekend’s action – which will be available on the NextGenXV YouTube Channel, and embedded further below in this article.
The action takes place on Friday, Saturday, and Monday, with Friday seeing the U9s Festival take place, Saturday the U11s Festival, and Monday the Vets Charity 7s Festival, raising funds for the Rugby School 1823 Bursary and the Wooden Spoon Charity, who fund life-changing projects supporting vulnerable children and young people in the UK.

U9s Festival – Friday 7th April
Eleven clubs are participating in the U9s Festival, with Oundle RFC and Old Laurentians RFC entering two teams to bring the number of participants up to thirteen.
Those thirteen teams will be split into two pools, one of 7 and one of 6, and each side will play their counterparts from the other pool before each plays a cross pool game to round the day off.
Pools (Final Games of the Day will be Cross Pool Games):
Pool 1: Barnstaple RFC, Oundle RFC 2, Guildford RFC, Old Laurentians RFC 1, St Andrews, Stamford RFC, Stonygate RFC
Pool 2: Old Laurentians 2, Coalville RFC, Oundle RFC 1, Luton RGS, Lutterworth, Shipston on Stour RFC
It will be a tremendous occasion, and a great opportunity for these young players to play at the birthplace and home of the game, The Close. The two famous pitches on The Close, Old Bigside and Pontines, will be split in two to create appropriate pitch sizes and NextGenXV will be live streaming all of the action on both of the Old Bigside pitches, see below.
